STRENGTH & HOPE
The mascot of the Town of Jasper Place in the 1950's and 60's, the Young Giant represented the vitality and spirit of the fastest growing municipality in Alberta at the time. The burgeoning population and proximity to Edmonton resulted in a commerce campaign highlighting the town as a vibrant and youthful place, offering new-fangled things such as "late night shopping" as incentive to visit and contribute to the local economy.
Today the Young Giant has returned, a familiar face representing the Stony Plain Road area during a pivotal time of construction and placemaking. His can-do of attitude yesteryear is synonymous with the spirit of our local business owners today.
