Being open for about 5 months now, and in the midst of construction, Spirit of India Express (10068 156 St NW) is welcoming new visitors who come once to try the restaurant and keep coming back. Bijoy, the restaurant owner, is extremely passionate about food, preparing high quality dishes, and creating a warm inviting environment to guests- whether they pick up to go or stay in to eat. The best part about dining in is your chance to meet Bijoy and experience the design work and details that he put into the interior of the restaurant.

Bijoy took over from a donair shop and did everything himself to make Spirit of India Express a standout establishment. From painting the walls a rich warming red colour to installing the comfy seating booths. Bijoy is also an artist and you can see that in a beautiful mountainscape painting that sits on the restaurant walls. His knowledge and skills for food presentation also extend into his passion for the arts, trades, and the community. All are visible when you enter through the restaurant doors.

Every dish at the Spirit of India Express is prepared with the highest quality ingredients. There are no colours, no preservatives, and no sugar added. Every dish on the menu is healthy and pure in the included ingredients. Offering a menu prepared with quality ingredients is extremely important to Bijoy!

With many years of culinary experience, including working in luxury hotels and preparing a dish for Barack Obama, Bijoy’s number one passion is to present food, which for him further presents ambition and passion to serve everyone with the best food experience!
