Stony Plain Road Business Association is looking for a dynamic, fun, and engaging individual to join our small team in a new support role to help with events and promotions.
The Position
This role is diverse, helping with outreach and engaging with diverse people in public settings in a part-time capacity on a weekly basis ( about 5 hours per week). can Some evening and weekend work may be required. You will be a representative of our organization at community events and outreach initiatives including our Shop Local Campaign featuring the Young Giant (www.stonyplainroad.com/the-young-giant/ ), including holiday promotions.
The Events Assistant will work with some administrative duties and about one outreach/ engagement activity a week. This position is ideal for a student, or a retired person or someone with some free time and looking to fill it in a fun and meaningful way. This position involves on-site participation and will require working from our offices in west Edmonton.
Skills Required
An experience with customer focused listening and communications is essential. The ability to carry up to 20 pounds and stand for periods of time is useful. A love of people and engaging with them in a fun way is really important for success. A valid driver’s license (Class 5) would be an added bonus. The majority of this position requires solid communications in English and if you speak other languages it would be terrific.
The Organization

This position would be around 5 hours a week with a rate of pay of $19/hour.
