WHO IS THE YOUNG GIANT?
The "Young Giant" was a term used for Canada in the 1960's during rapid industrial and urban expansion. This larger than life mascot promoted the Town of Jasper Places' late night and weekend shopping as attractions, and to emphasize the town as a vibrant place to live and start a family.
WHAT ARE
BIG BUCKS?
A community currency with a $3 value, Big Bucks can be collected and spent like cash! One $3 Big Buck can be used per $10 spent; that's up to 30% off!

HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
- Big Bucks are distributed during BIG BUCK DAYS, held on the second weekend (Saturday / Sunday) of the month
- Customers receive one (1) $3 Big Buck if they make a purchase over $10, while quantities last.
- The $3 Big Buck is good to use on their next purchase.
- Customers can collect Big Bucks from multiple merchants, and use them together at any time! One (1) $3 Big Buck can be redeemed per $10 spent!
- Prior to each Big Buck Days weekend, SPRBA staff will stop by your business to deliver Big Bucks, collect any you have honoured from customers, and drop off refund cheques from the previous month!
WHEN DOES THE CAMPAIGN BEGIN?
Our 2024 campaign runs from the begining of February to the end of November! New participating businesses generally require two (2) weeks of lead up time from sign up to ensure they are added to social media advertising.
